Our slogan is "Delivering manga across language barriers." We want to make manga accessible to people regardless of what language they speak. That is why we're researching new machine translation solutions and developing an English-language learning service based around manga. We are currently focusing on games and novels as well. Are you enthusiastic about bringing manga, games and novels to a wider audience? Do you want to break down language  barriers?

If that sounds like you, we look forward to receiving your application.

1. Passion for technology and entertainment

Mantra is a company focused on the intersection of state-of-the-art technology and entertainment. It is the only company in the world that has been selected by both the leading international AI conference (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, AAAI) and by the accelerators of two of Japan's largest manga publishers, Shueisha and Shogakukan. Mantra is actively seeking people who love technology and entertainment content.

2. Global team

Both our machine translation solutions and foreign language learning service are focused on one goal:  overcoming language barriers. Naturally, the teams behind these products must transcend language barriers, too.

At Mantra, you will have the opportunity to work with people from all over the world - many of whom are not native English speakers. Consequently, we look for people who are comfortable working in multilingual environments and communicating with non-native speakers.

「Mantra Engine」: a multilingual manga translation tool

A cloud-based tool used to accelerate the growth of manga overseas. It helps streamline not only translation, but other parts of the manga translation process, such as QA checks and typesetting. Our core machine translation technology tailored for manga has also garnered academic acclaim: it has been adopted by the leading international AI conference (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, AAAI), and is the recipient of the Nagao Award from the Asia-Pacific Association for Machine Translation (AAMT).
